The new Arlo Pro Base Station can support any of the Arlo Pro or Arlo Pro 2 Wire-Free Cameras. These instructions apply to Arlo Pro 2 or Arlo Pro cameras that are connected to Arlo Pro 2 base stations, Arlo Pro base stations, or Arlo base stations. When Arlo Pro 2 or Arlo Pro cameras are synced with any Arlo base station, the Arlo Pro 2 or Arlo Pro cameras retain their functionality, including rechargeable batteries, two-way audio, AC power consumption, and sophisticated motion detection.

  1. Insert the battery into the battery compartment as instructed and close the battery door. By carefully pushing back on the clasp, you can open the battery compartment.
  2. Bring the camera closer to the base station by one to three feet (30 to 100 cm).
  3. Sync the camera to the base station: If you’re using an Arlo base station, press and hold the Sync button on the base station’s side for about two seconds. If you push the Arlo base station’s Sync button for an extended period of time, the LED beneath the USB symbol blinks amber for ten minutes. The sync process is halted when the USB LED is flickering amber.
  4. If you’re using an Arlo Pro or Arlo Pro 2 base station, press and hold the button on the top of the base station for about two seconds.
  5. Await the green blinking of the sync status LED.
  6. Press and hold the Sync button on the top of the camera for about two seconds before releasing it.
  7. To ensure sync, a blue LED on the camera blinks rapidly.
  8. If the camera’s LED blinks amber, the sync was unsuccessful. You must redo the procedure of synchronization.
  9. Conduct a visual inspection of the camera LED on the base station. The sync procedure is complete when the camera LED on the base station turns solid green.
  10. Repeat for each camera.

Note: If the sync procedure does not finish within 60 seconds, push the button on the base station’s top and try again. You can see more visual representation of this instruction here
