Eufy is an American company that produces entry-level home security and surveillance systems. Eufy Camera works with Alexa; it’s compatible with all of Amazon’s Echo devices like the Echo Show. It aims to provide the latest technology and services in intelligent security and home monitoring. The current problems on the Eufy website seem to be related to all Echo devices, but this is only speculation at this time.
The camera is compatible with Alexa, allowing you to ask it simple questions like “Alexa, how many steps have I taken today?” and “Alexa, show me a live view from my camera.”
How do I connect my EUFY camera to Alexa?
As of this writing, you’ll need to have the EUFY Camera and an Amazon Echo device paired with your camera. This will require a firmware update for both devices. Once this is done, you’ll be able to use the EUFY Skill on your Alexa Device to connect the two. You’ll need a Wi-Fi connection for both devices. Additionally, there are some light configurations for your Echo device that you will want to make.
To do this, go to Settings → Connected Home → Add New Device and select EUFY Camera from the dropdown menu. This will give you a 6 digit code. Now open the eufyLife app and enter your Wi-Fi password so the EUFY Camera can connect to your home Wi-Fi. Make sure your EUFY camera is connected to Wi-Fi and then enter the code given to you by Alexa into eufyLife app. You’ll now have the EUFY Skill installed on your Alexa Device.
After you’ve installed the EUFY Skill, you’ll be able to say “Alexa, discover my devices”. This will activate the pairing process for your Echo device and EUFY camera. Once this is completed, you can now control your camera by voice command using Alexa.
There are some limitations for those that don’t own an Echo device. You can still use the EUFY Skill by downloading the EUFY Skill from the eufyLife app store. On your Alexa Device, go to the Skills section and search for “EUFY”.
This will give you a list of options to install. Select EUFY and then complete setup. From there, you’ll be able to control your camera using voice command to view live footage or turn it off and on. You can also choose from many other configuration options as well like password protection and mode settings.
Here are some basic steps on how to connect and use your EUFY Camera with Alexa:
1. Make sure that you have the wifi turned on in your EUFY camera and that the device is connected to wifi.
2. Go to amazon alexa app or go to amazon web and make sure that you are logged in with the same account as you want to create echo devices from
3. Go to settings -> connect home -> add a new device and select EUFY camera from the devices list
4. Your eufyLife app will automatically start to search for your camera and will show you a 6 digit code
5. Enter this 6 digit code in your eufyLife app under the account section
6. Once it’s connected, you can now control the EUFY camera with Amazon Alexa commands

Yes, the latest EUFY camera firmware update is needed in order to connect your Alexa device with your eufyLife Camera. You can download the latest eufyLife app and get the appropriate instructions here.
I installed the EUFY Skill on my Alexa device, but it doesn’t work. What should I do?
There may be a couple of things that may be preventing the EUFY Skill from working on your Alexa Device. For starters, ensure that your Echo device is connected to wifi. If it is, try restarting your Echo device or removing and re-bestowing the skill for a few minutes and then re-adding again.
